# Cursor (https://docs.oren.finance/docs/mcp/cursor)

## Add the server [#add-the-server]

Add this entry to your Cursor MCP configuration. Merge it with existing servers instead of replacing the file.

```json title=".cursor/mcp.json"
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "oren": {
      "url": "https://api.oren.finance/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Use a personal configuration if you want the connection across projects. A project configuration makes the server definition available to that project; your OAuth credentials should remain managed by the client.

## Authenticate [#authenticate]

Open Cursor's MCP settings, enable Oren and follow its sign-in prompt. Complete Oren's browser sign-in, review the requested permissions and selected callback, then return to Cursor.

When a local callback is selected, Oren requires an explicit local-application acknowledgement. Review the destination before approving it.

## Try it [#try-it]

```text
Use Oren to find Tesla and show the stock details.
```

If tools do not appear, reconnect and check the [troubleshooting guide](/docs/mcp/troubleshooting). Trade tools depend on approved scopes and feature availability.

For configuration details, see the [official Cursor MCP documentation](https://prod.cursor.com/docs/mcp).
