# Codex (https://docs.oren.finance/docs/mcp/codex)

## Add Oren [#add-oren]

Run these commands in a terminal with the Codex CLI installed:

```sh
codex mcp add oren --url https://api.oren.finance/mcp
codex mcp login oren --scopes oren.read
```

The login command opens your browser. Sign in to Oren, review the selected wallet, read permission and callback destination, and complete the local-application acknowledgement when shown.

This example requests only `oren.read`. It does not request trade preparation or execution access.

## Try it [#try-it]

```text
Use Oren to show my portfolio and find Nvidia.
```

The read connection exposes `get_portfolio`, `search_stocks` and `get_stock`. Restart or refresh your Codex session if the tool list has not updated after login.

## Remove access [#remove-access]

Revoke the connection from [Agent connections](https://oren.finance/settings/mcp). Removing local server configuration alone should not be treated as revoking server-side access.

For CLI options, see the [official Codex CLI reference](https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/cli/reference).
